I love fried zucchini flowers. My Aunt introduced this dish to me and it is very close to my heart. It brings back memories of my summers in Italy.
It's hard to find the flowers! Luckily, Up Top Acres, grows zucchini. So I was able to order some fresh flowers.
When someone asks you what you had for dinner, it's fun to be able to say, 'I ate flowers for dinner.' Who does that? They are so delicate to look at and to eat.
Cooking this dish made for a fun week night! In my fridge I grabbed some brie and fresh rosemary and stuffed it in the flowers before frying. Hmmmmmm- delicious! (Oh yeah I also made homemade pizza!)
