Gaeta is a very quaint coastal town south of Rome. It's not on the list of many tourist guide books. Rather, it's where Italians go to soak up the sun and enjoy a relaxing weekend.
The views are spectacular. When the sun hits the sparkling blue water of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the mountains- it's a sight to be seen.

Where to stay: For a view of the historic center of Gaeta stay at Residence Punta Stendardo B & B
Where to eat: (and for a drink- Christian Bar)
What to eat: Tiella di Gaeta, olives, & pizza

What to do: Explore the historic center
*The Sanctuary of the Santissima Annunziata church,
*The Cathedral Basilica of Gaeta,
*The Church of San Francesco in Gaeta overlooks the harbor and the old town
*The Grotta del Turco
*And of course the beach!
