Sisters in Liberty exhibit

Earlier this year, I got to see the original inspiration for Lady Liberty. Liberty of Poetry, as she is called stands tall and proud in the Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence, Italy. (See pic below)

And now in collaboration with Opera di Santa Croce and the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration, New York- there is an exhibit to explore the cultural ties between Italy and America (through art, architecture, liberty, and poetry.)

But the real Liberty of Poetry remains in Florence. A 3D copy has been made and is on display in New York.
