Cocktails always bring 'glory' into your life

Fancy homemade cocktails. That's what you will find at Quarter + Glory - the newest bar to open up on 14th street in DC.

I had a chance to sip on some of their cocktails for a family and friends night. The bar menu is expansive including a whole page full of rums. Although I didn't notice Don Q on the list.

The bar tenders were attentive, knowledgeable, and dedicated to mixing drinks for thirsty guests. Servers were passing around two popular drinks - the Quarter + Glory & Call Me.

Quarter + Glory: Brugal Añejo Rum, Cutty Sark Prohibition Scotch, Gran Classico Bitters, Punt e Mes, Tamarind Vinegar, Salt.

'Call Me': Fords Gin, pamplemousse rose, grapefruit juice, honey water, topped with champagne.

For munchies, fried chicken served on a doughnut from Astro Donut were flying off the trays. This was a treat just for the night. As of now, the bar doesn't have a menu yet. Soon, they expect their kitchen to open with light bites.

If you want to cut the rug on the dance floor at this bar- it's probably not the best place. Space is limited. But I love to dance so space isn't a problem for me. Yet, this place is more for a serous cocktail and good conversation. Underneath the bar, there are plugs to charge your phones. If you like to cuddle while sipping your cocktail, there aren't cozy sofas for a date. Instead, one great big half circular leather booth for a group of friends.
